Come and Visit Mesothelioma Law Firm

Kazan, McClain, Satterley & Greenwood (Kazan Law) is pleased to announce the addition of three new partners: Ted Pelletier, superb Kazan Law appellate counsel and advocate; John Langdoc, a trial attorney with vast experience trying asbestos and other scientifically complex products liability cases; and Denyse Clancy, nationally-recognized appellate and trial lawyer with prominent experience in asbestos litigation and other toxic torts.

Both Langdoc and Clancy come to Kazan Law as partners from the highly respected trial firm, Baron & Budd, headquartered in Dallas, Texas.

Ted W. Pelletier joined Kazan Law in 2013 as of counsel, directing the firm's appellate and motion department. Mr. Pelletier has handled dozens of appeals in the California Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court, representing many types of injured consumers including asbestos victims, and he is lead appellate counsel in several cases involving cutting-edge legal issues in the asbestos field. On joining the firm as partner, Mr. Pelletier confirmed that he is "thrilled to be able to help lead Kazan Law into the future" and to "help it maintain and strengthen its status as one of the premier plaintiffs' asbestos litigation firms in the country."

John L. Langdoc has won over $150 million dollars in verdicts against asbestos and chemical companies for exposing consumers and workers to toxic products. Langdoc was a scientist before becoming a lawyer. He excels in cases involving industry-funded scientists who insist under oath that known toxic products are "safe." Last year, Mr. Langdoc's $48 million dollar verdict on behalf of a California mesothelioma patient and his wife in Izell v. Union Carbide Corporation, Superior Court, Los Angeles County, No. BC469931 (2014) 231 Cal. App. 4th 962, review denied (Feb. 18, 2015), was affirmed after numerous unsuccessful appeals by the asbestos company; this landmark case was recognized by Legal 500 as one of the most significant toxic exposure verdicts in the nation, and selected by the National Law Journal as one of the Top 100 Verdicts of the year. According to Langdoc, "This is going to be really, really big. Combining Denyse, Ted and my life passions of working as hard as we can to expose industry funded scientific toxic exposure cover-ups with Kazan Law's forty-two years of being the go-to mesothelioma trial law firm gives me hope that we can help stop known toxic exposures by using the law to make a positive difference in our world."

Denyse F. Clancy is a nationally recognized appellate and trial attorney. Ms. Clancy is one of only a handful of lawyers in the entire nation who has both: (i) been lead trial lawyer in cases resulting in National Law Journal Top 100 verdicts in the nation, and (ii) protected the law as an appellate attorney in numerous state Supreme and Appellate Courts. Ms. Clancy graduated from Yale University magna cum laude, and was the valedictorian of her law class at Southern Methodist University School of Law in Texas. Ms. Clancy said: "I am thrilled to be joining Kazan Law and to be working among the finest and most respected attorneys in the country."

"We are thrilled to have these three esteemed trailblazers join us as partners in our California headquarters for a dynamic start to the New Year," says founding and managing principal, Steven Kazan. "As we poise for expansion, we strengthen our commitment to asbestos victims seeking justice against those responsible for their devastating illnesses, as we have since 1974."
